New partnership with BCS

MyFreightOnline announces the partnership with a dedicated customs partner in Europe. This collaboration is part of the ongoing development of MFO and the objective of offering the best services for our customers.

BCS (Bansard Customs Solutions) was created in October 2019 and was based on the following observation:

  • More and more small and large companies are developing in import/export,
  • Very few freight forwarders invest in a customs product,
  • There is a real need for customers who are faced with a lack of customs experts available on the job market, which leads to an increasing desire to outsource,
  • There is a growing demand for compliance at customs and inter-company level.

BCS will therefore allow, on behalf of its customers, to set up a centralized customs clearance procedure called NCC (National Centralised Clearance).

Therefore, all our customer's customs clearance operations in the European Union will be grouped on a single service providerdelays and costs can be optimized because the goods will be cleared through customs in ports or airports or directly to our customer's warehouses. Through the platform, the experience does not change, you keep a single point of contact for all flows with expertise in  Customs clearing setting up customs warehouses, improvement procedures, AEO audit, customs classification, and the optimization of supplier sourcing areas).

As a reminder MyFreightOnline platform has developed a dedicated interface allowing customers to immediately access all their documents and also to:

  • A personalized and secured dashboard,
  • Access to the latest regulation,
  • Real-time visibility of customs clearance,
  • Archiving and access to various documents (invoice, packing list),
  • The integration of the customs declaration,
  • KPIs monitoring (number of annual declarations, amount of monthly duties and taxes, etc.),
  • Live Chat for an immediate answer.

Is there a complementarity between the 2 structures MFO and BCS and if so, what would it be?

BCS, as MFO is a sister company of Bansard International, each company operates independently. At BCS, we offer a unique customs service provider, regardless of the number of forwarding agents. We can also carry out customs clearance in the customer's warehouse or in our own. All these services are advantages for the customer who loses less time for customs clearance and saves money by consolidating operations.

What are the sectors of activity for BCS client companies?

We already have 9 clients to date. Their sectors of activity are textiles, high-quality bed linen, furniture, technological products, fiber leaders or garden and outdoor furniture.
 

What is the volume processed and what are your future developments?

We have made 20,000 declarations since the launch and we plan to open a platform for the south of France (Lyon, Montpellier, Marseille) in order to stay close to the customer.
 

Can you explain to us how the platform is being finalized (the notion of simplification, document archiving, monitoring of key indicators)?

Our site offers you a personalized and secure space, access to regulatory watch, real-time visibility of customs clearance, the possibility of Live Chat for an immediate response but also a self-checking of declarations, all connected in real-time to MFO platform.

In one sentence, what's BCS's strongest point?

I would say the implementation of a customs clearance procedure (DeltaG Domicilié) on behalf of the customer, called DCN (National Centralized Customs Clearance), definitely a competitive advantage that's MFO and its users can benefit from!
